MY PERFECT WALLET

This short film was inspired by My New Wallet, a 2011 video by one of the godfathers of daily vlogging Casey Neistat.

I admire Casey’s ability to find interesting stories in everyday life, like in this case-y (ha!) – buying a new wallet.  I decided to challenge myself and to tell a mundane story of shopping for my perfect wallet in the most creative way.

THE CASEY NEISTAT CHALLENGE: Behind the Scenes

This is a story on how I created my most creative short film so far.

I go in-depth about my creative process, show you my sets, deleted scenes, tell you how I made the animations, and even explain references in the props. Many of you might find this more interesting than the final result itself (I know I do).

GREEN DAY FANS WILL UNDERSTAND

As a long-time Green Day fan, I was very excited about the new album, Revolution Radio.

I pre-ordered the red limited edition vinyl and when it finally arrived, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to film the epic unboxing.

HOW TO MAKE A T-REX

When I was a kid, I had a thing for dinosaurs. I mean, growing up in the 90s, who didn’t?

Years later, I decided to create one out of foam and paper mache for my son’s first Christmas. Of course, I kept the camera rolling.

TIPS ON FOAM CARVING & PAPER MACHE

When I was making the T-Rex wall trophy I had to figure out a lot of things on my own.

In this video, I’m sharing pretty much everything I’ve learnt in just 16 tips. That’s a bargain!

Mr T approved.

THE DOODLE-IZED KID (an Inktober project)

Committing yourself to drawing each day is nothing new, but the fact that hundreds of people from all over the world are doing it at the same time seemed quite exciting. It’s called Inktober.

Early in the morning, I realized it was already October 1, and if I didn’t want to wait another year, I had to get it going. I started my computer. Sipping coffee, thinking of something to draw, I noticed my childhood photo gathering digital dust on the desktop.

– That’s it! – I thought, – I’m going to vandalize it!

HOW TO MAKE A TELEPROMPTER

When I was doing my research on film production, I came across an article on how to properly use a teleprompter.

I was eager to practice it myself, although I didn’t have the magical black box. Luckily, the technology is elegantly simple, so I decided to build a teleprompter and film a tutorial for my The Show-How Show series.

HOW TO DYE CLOTHES

Being an artist, I’ve been experimenting with colors, dyes and paints for years. Whether it’s dying my hair or painting a mural, the goal is always the same – make the world a little bit less boring.

While reorganizing my closet, I found a pack of fabric dye. There I had an idea for another fun tutorial for my The Show-How Show series.

HOW TO SAVE A DOCUMENT IN PRINT PREVIEW

I had already decided to wrap up my The Show-How Show series, when I got a call from a frustrated friend of mine who needed to download an airplane ticket but couldn’t find that option in Chrome’s print preview.

A real-life problem with such a simple solution. It ended up being the shortest tutorial I’ve ever done.
